A few weeks ago this raingarden was planned for and it did not work out. If you are able to attend this planting let me know and we will meet together to help out.
When: Fri, Sep 5, 9am – 12pm
Where: Anne Arundel County Department of Health
3 Harry S. Truman Parkway
Annapolis, MD (map)
Description: Unanticipated construction delays have pushed this planting out a bit. Current date is Friday, Sept. 5 – but confirm with us before that date in case of other last minute changes. Join us with Dept. of Health employees to plant a rain garden that will filter pollutants that would otherwise enter Broad Creek and the South River. Wear clothes appropriate for gardening. This is a shady area, so you probably won’t need your hat this time. Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided. Bring a nalgene or other re-usable container for water. (We’re no longer providing bottled water – but cold water will be available for your containers.)
This rain garden is made possible from a grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust.
