The programs at Balanced Life Skills are not just another after school activity. We are dedicated to the growth and advancement of your child and yourself in LIFE. We teach self defense, but not just in the physical ways. Mr. Joe and his staff believes that we must also protect ourselves from the things in life that will really harm us, like diabetes, anger, the environment. We expect the best from ourselves and our students. Never should we allow ourselves to accept 'average' or be satisfied with 'normal'.

3 & 4 Year old Tiger Tots
Designed for 3 and 4 year old children taught in separate classes for 30 minutes one time per week. This curriculum is focused on teaching how to interact in a group experience through Life Skills training. Tiger Tots learn about fitness and basic technique through a playful, game-like experience. In a fun and energetic environment we work on basic gross motor skills, listening and social skills.
We begin teaching these students about Teamwork, Respect, Courtesy and more. Even the youngest of these learn that the most important team we have is our family and about

5 & 6 Year old Lil' Dragons
Our 5 & 6 year old students who are really our Kindergarten and First graders still learn the best by play. So we use skills that fit their needs and find ways to teach them Focus, Teamwork, Balance, Memory, Fitness, Coordination, Discipline and how to help and serve others. In addition to the physical work they are doing, they continue to practice doing acts of kindness and will begin to learn how to lead their own projects of service to their community. We emphasize to them that their most important team is their family and the need to contribute to the family by doing chores without being asked is a part they can do to contribute.
7 & 8 Year old Lil' Dragons
Our 7 & 8 year old students who are the Second and Third graders now want to be challenged a bit more and we do so by working on more skills that fit this age group without discouraging them. Concentration, Courage, Speed, Agility, Intensity, Flexibility, Perseverance and again how to help and serve others. This group of students are so creative and have such big hearts that now is the time to help them see and believe that they can be the change we want to see in the world. It is a golden opportunity that we have as part of your 'village' and we are happy to help them grow.
9 - 12 Year Olds Jr. Program
As the students get older the way we teach and the expectations continue to increase. In this age group we foster the need of the students to be a part of a group, while at the same time helping each of them individually to grow in their physical skills. We challenge them to try their hardest and push them to find their limits and push beyond them. Their martial arts training will prepare them for the challenges of middle school and beyond.
Teens & Adults
Our teen and adult program is a great mix of physical workout, martial arts training and challenges. Our students continue to work on themselves as well as a team. Everyone comes to the class with different goals. Some to lose weight, to get stronger, gain confidence, be comfortable to defend themselves, to have fun. The discipline and focus learned in this class will carry over into every part of your life. Each person will can grow in the way they focus on and we are here to facilitate this growth. This is not your typical martial arts school. We are focused on the whole person and work to help our students to meet their needs.
