This was a question we asked ourselves and set out to investigate. What we found was frightful. No we do not see where it goes or the effect it has on the parts of our area. But it does affect more than you can imagine.

So Mr. Joe set out to learn what he could about this subject and then see if there was a way to bring about an awareness to others in a fun way of the effect of Stormwater Runoff. Here is how the program works.

We supply rain barrels to schools to decorate and auction off in their own school. They keep the money for their own projects. We give them video and curriculum to use to teach our children and their parents about what we can do as individuals to keep stormwater from running into the creeks and into the Chesapeake Bay.

Every Spring we invite artist to take part in the program and we auction these barrels off to supprot the work of Arlington Echo and the education program we have established.

To learn more about the program visit our website Where Does the Rain Go? and see how you or your school may be able to help raise the awareness of our community.
